This is what happens when you always use cheap shit oil in your engine.

This car was always serviced at a service center since brand new, Just shows you they use cheap shit oil (if they even changed it) Your better of doing it your self at least then you know its been done and whats in there.

After some major cleaning

Yeah i reckon they just ticked off changing the oil in the service sheet and never did it. Even cheap oil if changed regularly would leave you with your motor that bad.

That looks like you have legal right to go back to them and ask for your money back for all the services and then some.

Cheap oil may not be the factor here. There are a few reasons why engines get oil sludge, the most common reason especially in australia is engine running temp. People will always change the oil in a car on a regular basis but they don't change their coolant or service the cooling system. This causes engines to run at a higher temperature which reduces the life of the oil, combine that with people and mechanics that insist on using lower viscosity oils and you have a recipe for some oil pudding in your car. Check the manufacturer's recomemded life span for their oil, as it may not be as long as the recomended time between servicing.

Best thing to do is buy a rotary ;) That way you have oil burning all the time and you are continually topping up... you'll never have old oil in your motor :) That and the fact it leaks out the sump gasket... if your motor doesn't have an oil leak it's got an issue!

Looks like a hyundai excel engine, they had a condensation issue in the tappet cover which caused engine sludge too. I've towed a few for this reason. Today i towed an 05 Accent that had sludged up, mechanic told me hyundai's always sludge up due to condensation.
